RWB Richard E. Paul was born on August 3, 1949 in St. Joseph, MO. He attended Savannah High School and graduated from the University of Missouri with a BS in finance. After working in banking for six years he worked 25 years for State Farm Insurance, retiring in 2005. He married Mary Ann in 1988 and has a step daughter and four grand children.

RWB Paul began his Masonic career in 1980 when he was raised a Master Mason in Zeredatha Lodge #189. He served as Worship Master in 1987 and DDGM for the 7th Masonic District 2007-2008. He severed on the Masonic Home Board of Directors 2004-2008 and currently serves on the Grand Lodge forms and ceremonies committee.

RWB Paul is a 33º Scottish Rite Mason and served as Personal Representative for the Valley of St. Joseph from 2000-2004. After his retirement in 2005, he has served as executive secretary for the Valley of St. Joseph. He is a member of the board of directors for the Scottish Rite Foundation of Missouri and the Kansas City Scottish Rite Childhood Language Disorders Clinic. RWB Paul is also a member of the St, Joseph York Rite Bodies and Moila Shrine.
