Right Worshipful Brother Nicholas R Cichielo was raised in New York , NY. He graduated from Bryant High School and from Syracuse University .

Right Worshipful Brother Cichielo was initiated into Knickerbocker Lodge #182 in New York in 1983. While living in New York, he served as President of the Masters Association in 1988; President of the Metro Deputies Association in 1989; District Deputy Grand Master in 1989-90; and Grand Lodge Convention Chairman in 1993. Right Worshipful Brother Cichielo currently lives in St. Louis where he is a member of Polar Star-Rose Hill Lodge #79 and also serves at President of the Polar Star-Rose Hill Temple Association. He first served as Grand Chaplain in Missouri in 2003-2004. He is also a member of the Shrine, Scottish Rite, and Jesters. In 1984 he was honored by being presented the Anti-Defamation League Humanitarian Award. 

RWB Cichielo serves as the State Coordinator for the MoCHIP Child Identification Program.

Grand Chaplain Brother Cichielo and his wife Lori Ann have three children, Nicholas, Robert, and Ronda and six grandchildren.
