Right Worshipful Brother Randall Jay Jones
was born March 15th, 1955. He was Initiated an Entered Apprentice
November 25th, 1975, passed to Fellowcraft December 30th,
1975, and Raised to Master Mason January 28, 1976 in Mt. Olive
Lodge #439. He was appointed Chaplain in 1977, Senior Steward
in 1978, elected Junior Warden in 1979 and Worshipful Master
in 1981, and in 1982, elected Secretary of the Lodge, a position
he still holds to this day as well as holding a perpetual
lodge membership card. He was appointed DDGL of the 45th District
in 1986, serving 10 years in that capacity then appointed
DDGL of the 46th District serving for 3 years. From 1996 to
2000 he served on the Grand Lodge Ritual committee, from 1999
to 2001 he served on the Long Range Planning committee. He
was appointed Grand Lecturer in 2001 by MWB Glenn E. Means.
RWB Jones was initiated in Bethel Chapter OES in March 1976
and was Worthy Patron in 1983, 1989, and 2001. He also served
as Organist, Marshal, Chaplain, Warder, Sentinel and Associate
Patron. Randall joined the Scottish Rite, Valley of Joplin
in May 1976 and is a perpetual member. He served as Wise Master
of the Chapter of Rose Croix 2000-2001 and has worked in the
9th, 10th, 11th, 13th, 15th, 16th, 18th, 25th, 26th, and 29th
Degrees and the Traitor Episode. He is a member of the Wardrobe
and Ritual committees. Decorated a Knight Commander of the
Court of Honour in 1991 and Coronated an Honorary 33rd Degree
in 1999. Past President of the Webster County Scottish Rite
Club, now a member of the Ridgerunners Scottish Rite Club
and is a member of Eastern Rose Croix Funeral team. In May
of 1977 advanced to Royal Arch Mason in Springfield Chapter
#15. Greeted and acknowledged in Zabud Council #25 and Knighted
in St. John's Commandery. High Priest in 1986, Illustrious
Master in 1996 and Commander in 1997. President of York Rite
Festival Committee from 1998-2000. District Deputy Grand High
Priest Region 7-B 1997. Regional Deputy Grand Lecturer Region
7 from 1998-2000. Member Order of the High Priesthood, Order
of the Silver Trowel, Past Commander's Association, York Rite
College, Knight Masons, Sword of Bunker Hill. Recipient of
the Council Lewis and Clark Award 1997. Grand Representative
of Grand Commandery to Rhode Island. Knighted a Knight of
York, Cross of Honor in 2000. Works in Past Master, Mark Master,
Royal Arch, Royal Master and Super Excellent Master degrees.
Knighted in St. Christopher Conclave Red Cross of Constantine
1987. Puissant Sovereign in 2001, Initiated in Ozark Council
Allied Masonic Degrees in 1996, currently Senior Warden. Member
of Abou Ben Adhem Shrine 1977-1978. Randall is also a multiple
member of Willard Lodge #620, Honorary member of Hazelwood
Lodge #459 Seymour, MO., member of Past Masters Degree September
2001.
RWB Jones was united in marriage to Darlene July 18th, 1978
and to this union were born daughter Jessica and son Randall
Jr. who is also a member of Mt. Olive. Jessica is married
to Bro. Jason Jacques, while Bro. Randall Jr. is single. Randall
and Darlene are members of Fordland United Methodist Church
where he is active as a Sunday school teacher, pianist and
serves on several committees.
RWB Randall J. Jones is second to none in his knowledge of
Missouri Masonic Ritual and is responsible for inspiring many,
many brethren to memorize the work and to learn it correctly.
W:.B:. Rex Williams and R:.W:.B:. Pat McFarland were Randall's
instrumental mentors in teaching him the importance of learning
and preserving Missouri Ritual. Randall was in charge of the
Casting and Direction of the Ritual Teams during the first
C2A class at the Shrine Mosque in 1999, an event which was
practically flawless in execution. He is currently on his
9th renewal of the Sub 1, 7th renewal of the Sub II part 1,
and 6th renewal on the Sub II part 2 & 3 and Sub III certificates.
Randall's standard for excellence in Masonic Ritual and his
Zeal for Masonry have made him a most valuable asset to Missouri
Masonry. In the southwest Missouri area he is particularly
favored, by incoming Masters, to be their Installing Master
at Lodge Officer Installations. He attends a Masonic Lodge
on an average of 3 nights per week to help with Degree work.
Randall received his 25 year Masonic Pin at Mt. Olive's Installation
of officers September 30th, 2001 which was presented to him
by his good friend and brother W:.B:.Art Wolfe.
