Making a Positive Difference for the Children and Youth of Today and Tomorrow!

Pre-K-12 Student Substance/Physical Abuse Recognition Training

The Missouri Masonic Foundation for the Prevention of Substance Abuse, Inc. is a service of the Grand Lodge of Missouri Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons. One of the hallmarks of Freemasonry is that it is committed to family, children and youth, and society. The Foundation was developed in response to the concerns Missouri Freemasons share about youth who are at risk due to physical abuse, substance abuse, or violence.

The Missouri Masonic Foundation for the Prevention of Substance Abuse, Inc. provides the Student Assistance Program which offers workshops to school personnel and concerned community members to identify the symptoms in youth who are experiencing alcohol or drug problems, or are involved in other abuse situations.

A successful intervention will include: Identification, Assessment, Intervention, and Referral for professional services.

Missouri Freemasons Provide:
  • Facilities for training statewide
  • Professional Facilitators
  • Workshop training for learning how to implement a successful intervention for at-risk youth
  • Identification of local resources for collaboration efforts
  • Support for team building

Participants can receive 16 hours of State approved continuing education units (CEU).
One hour of graduate school credit is available through Northwest Missouri State University. The university charges a transcript fee for the credit.
Student Assistance Program materials will be provided.
